Tourism Minister's urges to India to provide more air routes

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati has urged India to provide more air access routes to Nepal.

He made such a request while meeting Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava at the Ministry on Friday. Nepal currently has only one air entry point. There is a lot of pressure on it. For this reason, Minister Kirati said that it has been requested to provide more air access routes.

Minister Kirati also mentioned that Srivastava said in the meeting that India is always positive in the interests of Nepali people and Nepal. At present, plane can enter Nepal only from Simara point. For a long time, Nepal has been asking for a route from Bhairahawa, Nepalganj and Mahendranagar so that airplanes can enter.
