CAAN carries out technical tests on all ATR aircrafts operational

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stated that no technical fault has been observed in the ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft operating in Nepal.

After the plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara on Sunday morning, detailed technical tests conducted on all the planes revealed no errors.

In addition, it has been stated that maintenance works such as daily inspection, pre-flight inspection, and 'scheduled inspection' carried out at certain intervals for the regular airworthiness of the aircraft are carried out in accordance with the standards and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the standards of the aircraft manufacturing company.

On Sunday, a plane with 72 passengers crashed in Pokhara.
