Major blow to the tourism that is suffering due to aircraft crash :Hotel Association Pokhara

POKHARA, Jan 16: The Hotel Association Pokhara has said that the plane accident that happened in Pokhara on Sunday will give a major blow to the tourism sector.

The Pokhara Hotel Association issued a statement on Monday while trying to remove the Nepali aviation sector from the EU's blacklist, stating that this accident has not only caused a huge financial loss, but has also dealt a big blow to the tourism sector, which has recently been recovering from the effects of the Covid-19.
Association have also called upon the Nepalese government, Civil Aviation Authority and airline companies to be serious in order to make the Nepalese airspace safe, reliable and orderly.

The Association have also requested the government to take steps to keep the search, rescue and relief programs agile and sound during disasters.


On Sunday, Yeti Airlines 9N-ANC ATR 72-500 people had an accident. There were 72 passengers on board. Out of which 68 passengers have been confirmed dead and the condition of 4 passengers is still unknown.
