NAC pays Rs 330 million instalment to EPF

KATHMANDU, Jan 16:The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has paid more than 330.9 million to the Employees Provident Fund(EPF). The NAC has paid the installment amount to the fund

The NAC issued a statement on Saturday and said that the NAC has submitted the installment amount of the debt obligation to be paid to the fund for the purchase of the aircraft.

"For taking a loan from the fund for the purchase of a plane, the principal and interest for the purchase of a narrow-body plane was paid last on January 13," the statement said.

Earlier, the NAC also said that it had paid 1.35 billion on 14th July and more than 730.9 million on 18th October.

In the past, due to various reasons, the loan obligations of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) were not being paid, the NAC said, in recent days, it has been paying regular installments.
