Buddha Air to fly ATR-72 on Kathmandu-Tumlingtar
KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Buddha Air is going to fly Kathmandu-Tumlingtar through ATR-72 series aircraft from January 20th. Currently flying through ATR-42 series aircraft.
After receiving the approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the flight is about to start from ATR-72.
The information officer of the company, Dipendra Kumar Karna, said that with the start of the service through a large plane, the fare will be cheaper. He claims that while the maximum one-way fare is Rs 7,695, the starting fare will now be Rs 5500.
He said that the company, which is operating seven flights a week, will initially serve 65 passengers on each flight through ATR-72.
In May, the company conducted a test flight with ATR-72.
