Hotels in Birgunj will open till midnight

PARSA, Jan 12: Hotels in Birgunj will now open till 12 midnight. Hari Pant, President of the Hotel and Tourism Association of Birgunj, said that the opening period of hotels in the Birgunj area is going to be extended in order to revive the hotel business, which has been in trouble after the Corona pandemic.

Earlier, citing security reasons, the local administration was banning the opening of hotels and restaurants after 10 pm. Pant said that it will be operated till 12 midnight after meeting certain security standards. Along with this, the businessmen expect an increase in Indian tourists in the Birgunj area.

Hoteliers of Birgunj, including Pant, met Parsa chief district officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal and demanded an increase in the hotel's operating hours. The administration has agreed to open the hotel by 12 midnight after meeting the security standards and it has been agreed to form a task force in conjunction with the Assistant Chief District Officer of Parsa for its preparation.

Pant said that hoteliers, district police office, armed police and other security agencies will participate in the task force.
