Gautam Buddha Airport and Pokhara International Airport operation and Nijgadh Airport on priority: Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Prime Minister and CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed his commitment to operate Gautam Buddha and Pokhara International Airports in full safety and to prioritize Nijgadh International Airport.

Prime Minister Dahal said this while addressing the House of Representatives before taking the vote of confidence on Tuesday. Nijgadh International Airport will be given priority with Gautam Buddha and Pokhara International Airports being operated in complete safety and with the assurance of availability, Prime Minister Dahal said, "Rapid economic development and low currency will be the goal of the government."

Prime Minister Dahal has also said that the allocated funds will be transferred from projects that cannot be spent to projects that can be spent. "If the funds allocated for the development project cannot be spent, it will be transferred to the spending project," Prime Minister Dahal said.

He has also expressed his commitment to make a separate legal arrangement to speed up the decision-making process by reducing delays in land acquisition, environmental impact assessment and contract process to implement strategic development projects.

He also said that a separate arrangement will be made to share the infrastructure with the legal arrangement related to the utility corridor, and the monitoring of the development project will be based on the results.
