Hotels in Chitwan fully of domestic tourists

CHITWAN, Jan 04: The tourism sector of Chitwan, which has been stagnant for a long time, has been revived by the English New Year. The hotels here, which were waiting for tourists, were full since Friday. On Saturday, the day before New Year, hotels in the tourist area of Sauraha are full of domestic tourists.

Deepak Bhattarai, president of the regional hotel association Sauraha, informed that the hotels here were full on Saturday compared to other days. He said that the New Year has brought relief to the tourism sector, which has slowed down due to Corona and economic recession. According to the association, more than 70 percent of hotels were filled on Saturday alone. A cultural program was also organized on the occasion of New Year.

Although Sauraha is the choice of tourists who come to Chitwan, the hotels in Patihani, Meghauli and other areas of the district are also full, according to tourism professionals. According to Rishi Neupane, the director of Soaltee Hotel in Patihani, former King Gyanendra and his family booked the hotel for a week, so they could not accommodate others. Subodh Pradhan, President of West Chitwan Tourism Business, said that more than a dozen hotels in Patihani and Meghauli were full on New Year. All the hotels from Patihani to Meghauli were full.

Hotelier Mahesh Khanal of Sauraha informed that his hotel Park Safari has been full of tourists for a week. Tourists who come to Sauraha come for jungle safari.
