Nijgadh airport has been blocked by state authorities: Yogesh Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, Jan 02:CPN-UML Member of Parliament and Former Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai has accused the state agencies of obstructing the construction of Nijgadh International Airport.

Speaking at the ``Aviation Meet'' program organized by the Civil Aviation Authority in the capital on Friday, he said that it is unfortunate that the state agency stopped the project.

"Obstructing the Nijgarh project means creating an obstacle to development, not allowing Nepal to move forward, it is sad that people from within Nepal are involved in this work," he said. This project was canceled by the Supreme Court due to environmental issues. Later, after the full text came from the court, the project went ahead with the process again.

"The state system is not doing what it should be doing, those who administer justice are puppets," he said pointing towards the court.
