Saurya Airlines brings jet aircraft first time at Pokhara

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Saurya Airlines landed a Bombardier CRJ 200 aircraft at Pokhara International Airport on Monday. A jet aircraft  has landed in Pokhara for the first time.

The airline did not fly to Pokhara as the aircraft could not land at the currently operational Pokhara airport.

With today's 'proven flight', airlines will start regular flights from January 1, 2023.

This airline, which has been active in domestic flights for the past 8 years, has also announced that it will operate two daily flights between Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu.

Popular for domestic flights in Europe, America and other countries, the CRJ 200 aircraft is considered safe, comfortable and fast because of its jet engine.

With the completion of the test flight today, the Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu flight will be regularized, said Deepak Pokharel, the president of the airline.

Chairman Pokharel believes that with the launch of the service, it will win the hearts of domestic and foreign tourists.

I believe that our service will help the tourism of Pokhara, the capital of tourism. I am hopeful that the service of our ship, which is popular for domestic flights, will win the hearts of passengers", said Chairman Pokharel.

Jitendra Yadav, station in-charge of Pokhara Station, said that this airline, which has made the safety of passengers the first priority, will coordinate with the tourism businessmen of Kathmandu and Pokhara to make the service more agile in order to strengthen tourism activities.

He said that for the first time in the history of Pokhara, it is a matter of happiness for the company and the passengers to serve the passengers through a jet plane.

'For the first time in the history of Pokhara, we are going to travel by jet plane', station in-charge Yadav said, 'not only for us but also for the passengers, this is a matter of happiness.'

In the beginning, the minimum rent was fixed at 4 thousand 100 rupees. In-charge Yadav informed that the price will be set according to the passenger volume like other airlines.
