Manakamana cable car is closed due to panel problem

 

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Manakamana cable car has been closed due to technical problems in the control panel. Rajesh babu Shrestha, director of the company, said that when there was a problem with the power supply, the service was stopped due to a large damage to the panel of the cable car.

According to him, a technician should come from Austria for the repair.

It is seen that the technician of the cable car manufacturer Doppelmayor should be brought and repaired. We have already corresponded,`` he said, 'We are going to repair and bring the service into operation as soon as possible.'

This cable car was upgraded from analog to digital system some time ago. Cable car tower, gondola, bullwheel and other equipment will remain the same. After the upgrade, Manakamana Cable Car was claimed to be Nepal's first cable car with a digital connect system.
