TAPLEJUNG, Dec 25: Drone cameras are banned from flying in Pathibhara area, a famous religious site located in Taplejung.

Keeping in view the security sensitivity, production of images and video content from drone cameras in Pathibhara area without permission has been banned.

The Pathibhara Area Development Committee has stated that the Pathibhara Area Development Committee cannot fly drone cameras in the Pathibhara area without the permission of the concerned body as it will affect religious and cultural heritage, security sensitive places and air routes and personal privacy.

Rakhi Thebe, chairman of the committee, said that it was decided not to fly drone cameras in the Pathibhara area without the security sensitivity. The committee has called for public information.

In the drone flight procedure issued in 2072, it is mentioned that it is not allowed to fly in a way that affects religious and cultural heritage, security sensitive places and airways and affects personal privacy.

There is a provision that the person or organization seeking the permission must submit the description of the drone, its purpose and the flight time to all relevant authorities. According to the procedure, it is not possible to fly even within one kilometer of security agencies and sensitive areas.

For permission to fly drones, individuals or organizations must submit a written application along with a letter of approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Communications and Civil Aviation Authority and a letter recommending drone flying by the relevant ministry for commercial purposes.

Manmani Kafle, Executive Director of Pathibhara Area Development Committee, said that various organizations and individuals started flying drone cameras in Pathibhara area in Pathibhara area.
