Saurya Airlines to start Pokhara International Airport flights from January 1

KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The flight is going to take place in Pokhara, through a jet-engined plane. Saurya Airlines has scheduled regular flights to Pokhara International Airport from January 1, 2023 .

Saurya's 50-seat capacity 'CRJ 200' Bombardier aircraft will fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara International Airport at 7:25 in the morning and 3:10 in the afternoon.

Saurya's market manager Mukesh Khanal said that approval for two daily flights has been received from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and the necessary preparations have been completed.

"For the first time in the history of Pokhara, we are going to travel by jet plane," said Khanal, the market manager.

At the start of the flight, the minimum fare is Rs 4,100. He said that this price will be the same as other airlines according to passenger traffic.

Due to the fact that the jet plane could not land at the currently operational airport, it had not flown to Pokhara so far. As the authority prepares to inaugurate Pokhara International Airport on January 1, airlines have started preparing for regular flights.
