Yeti Airlines demo flight successful at Pokhara International Airport

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Yeti Airlines' demonstration flight at Pokhara International Airport has been successfully completed. Yeti Airlines successfully completed its first demonstration flight at the airport on Thursday.

The airline took off from the old airport at 2:15 p.m. and flew to Pokhara valley and landed at 2:27 p.m. from Runway 02 of Pokhara International Airport. When the ATR 72 aircraft with the call sign 9NANC landed at the airport for the first time, everyone present clapped and welcomed it. The aircraft was flown by senior and instructor pilot Captain Pramodraj Poudel and Kamal KC.


Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson of the airlines, said that it is a matter of happiness for all airlines to be able to provide services from the airport, which is technically of an international standard and equipped with all the necessary equipment. The airport is going to be operational from the 1st January. Pokhara's tourism professionals, industrialists, private sector representatives, journalists and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal officials participated in the demonstration flight.

The pilot of the aircraft, Gautam, said that technically the airport is of international standard and the landing was also easy. The airport is going to be operational from the 1st January.
