AOAN 's objection to misleading and untrue news

AOAN 's objection to misleading and untrue news

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) issued a press release on Wednesday citing member airline companies of the AOAN said that it has drawn serious attention to the continuous and planned publication of news on domestic air fare cartelization in some online news portals.

It is also mentioned in the AOAN's statement that it is wrong to publish this kind of confusing and fabricated news in a situation where the airline companies that were devastated by the Covid pandemic in the past are struggling to return to their old ways.

Everyone is aware of the increase in the number of domestic passengers due to the increase in the number of domestic passengers after the covid-19 infection. Although the member airlines have to charge air fares to passengers within the minimum and maximum fare rates determined by the Government of Nepal, the practice of providing their services at a lower rate is not hidden from anywhere.

In the statement, it is very sad that this kind of misleading and fabricated news is published and before publishing any news, it is requested to publish the true facts after necessary coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

In a statement issued by Yograj Kandel Sharma, the spokesperson of the AOAN, it is said - 'When misleading news is disseminated, this AOAN sincerely appeals to all concerned not to believe in such misleading news until an official opinion is received from the relevant body.

"Since there is a great displeasure of the AOAN and the member airlines of this kind of misleading news, this association wants to draw the serious attention of the general public, passengers and related bodies," the statement said.
