Ambassador of Austria to Nepal met with CEO of NTB

 

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: A meeting was held between the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Austrian Ambassador. On Wednesday, a meeting between the NTB's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dhananjay Regmi and the team including Austrian ambassador Katharina Weiser discussed the country's crisis management and overall tourism.

In the meeting, various issues of overall tourism and crisis management were discussed, the board said.

Regmi, CEO of NTB, said that they are coordinating with the government and related sectors for a hassle-free visit for tourists visiting Nepal. He pointed out that Nepal and Austria have similarities in natural diversity and informed that a common opinion and advocacy is necessary regarding the impact of climate change.

Likewise, the Austrian Ambassador Katharina stated that crisis management is an important task in tourism and that it is necessary to exchange the experiences adopted by both countries in such matters.

Krishna Shah, executive member of the NTB, said that Nepal is a safe destination for tourists and informed that the board has taken various actions to make it easy for the tourists coming to Nepal to get information.

Nandini Lahe Thapa, senior director of the NTB, said that the tourism crisis management cell is playing an important role in the board's office for the country's tourism potential and crisis management.

The program was attended by Ambassador Katharina, Honorary Consul of Austria for Nepal Rajesh Babu Shrestha, various high officials of the Austrian government, senior directors of the board, directors, tourist police.
