24th edition Pokhara Street Festival to be held from December 28

POKHARA, Dec 13: The 24th edition of 'Pokhara Street Festival' will be held from 28th December to 1st January. Street festival organizing organization Restaurant and Bar Association (REBAN) Pokhara held a press conference on Friday and gave information about the festival.

Naresh Bhattarai, Chairman of REBAN Pokhara and Coordinator of the Festival Organizing Committee, informed that the festival has been planned in 2023 as every year with the aim of welcome tourists on the occasion of English New Year.

Bhattarai informed that Festival has succeeded in making a unique identity in the tourism promotion of Pokhara and most tourists come to Pokhara in the hundred of Festival.

The festival will be organized along three kilometers of main road in the Lakeside area with the slogan "Eat on the road, enjoy on the road". In the press conference, the organizers informed that one can taste the food along with various cultural programs at the festival. Businessmen will set up stalls for selling their businesses on the street, tourists will enjoy eating delicious food in the street.

Targeting the tourists coming to Festival, cultural program, original costume exhibition, national and international food display, Dohari song competition, Jhakri exhibition, night concert, boat race in Fewa Lake, open veteran tennis competition, tug of bar and documentary show with major destinations of Pokhara. The organizers have known that such activities will be shown.

Organizers estimate that around 3 to 4 lakh tourists will visit the festival, which will last for 5 days. On the occasion of Festival, a 20 percent discount on hotel stays has been arranged for tourists.
