Thangka training starts from Sunday

KATHMANDU, Dec 07: Thanka writing training has started from Sunday under the organization of Buddhist philosophy promotion and monastery development committee.

The committee's executive director Hom Dong informed that a one-month thangka training was organized here for the purpose of promoting religious tourism in Kakani.

Executive director Dong said, "This training was organized in Kakani to emphasize religious tourism." Participants in the training will get to learn skills and knowledge.

He has also requested to make proper use of this opportunity. Skills and knowledge are invaluable. Executive Director Dong said that in today's age, thangka, which is connected with Buddhist philosophy, will be easy to move forward professionally.

In the same way, Mohan Dong, the training instructor, said that throughout the training period, we will focus on the origin of thangka, writing method, style and themes related to the development of human civilization.

The tank has a history connected with Buddhist philosophy. If it can be carried forward professionally, it can generate financial income. This can be a good source of income.'' He said, 'This one month training will be successful.'

He gave an example of how it is easy to brighten the future of children when the money earned from thank writing is invested in education and said that this skill will make it easier to earn a living.

Mohan Dong, Bhuwandas Tamang, Nipun Tamang will be in training throughout the training period. More than one and a half dozen people from Taplejung, Solukhumbu, Dhading, Nuwakot, Ramechhap etc. have participated in the training. Training coordinator Sanju Yongaya and co-coordinator Lakshmi Rumba were present in the program.
