Tara Air operated 4 chartered flights to Lukla on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Tara Air operated 4 chartered flights between Kathmandu and Lukla on election day. There were 4 chartered flights targeting foreign tourists.

Spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula informed that Tara Air, a sister company of Yeti Airlines, had 4 chartered flights.

Tribhuvan International Airport Office Spokesman Teknath Sitaula said permission was given for the Lukla flight as it is a tourist destination.

According to the airport office, only domestically chartered flights took place from Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday. Airport spokesperson Sitaula said that there were regular international flights.

Domestic 20 air service providers including 11 helicopter companies have been operating flights.
