Aero Thai arrives in Pokhara for calibration flight

POKHARA, Nov 20: The aircraft of Aero Thai Company arrived in Pokhara on Saturday for the mechanical flight test (calibration flight) at Pokhara Regional International Airport. The aircraft kept at Pokhara Airport will conduct a test flight from Monday to the 28th.

Spokesperson of Pokhara Regional International Airport, Anup Joshi, informed that the mechanical aircraft will perform calibration flight from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

He said that the ground based navigation devices connected to the airport will be tested whether they are usable or not. "Tomorrow, when it is necessary, the situation will be checked and verified whether the signal will be given or not," he said.

For calibration, Pokhara International Project Airport is working to test sanitation and other devices. Vinesh Munkarmi, project head, informed that 98.5 percent of the physical progress of the airport under construction in Pokhara Metropolitan City-14 Chhinedanda has been completed. "After calibration, we have progressed so that we can finish the rest of the work by December," he said.
