11 billion commitments in four months for tourism sector

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: It is seen that investment in the tourism sector has decreased in four months of the current financial year. Compared to the same period of last financial year, the investment in this sector has decreased in four months of this year.

In the four months of the current year, investment commitments worth 11 billion 450 million rupees have been made for the tourism sector. During the same period of last year, an investment of 11.59 billion 86 million rupees was promised for the tourism sector.

According to the Department of Industry, an investment worth 7 billion 107 million rupees has been committed for the tourism sector in July. The same investment commitment has come for 6 industries in the tourism sector. It has been promised to open Maria Hotel and Restaurant with an investment of 15 million rupees, Yuwan Hotel and Restaurant with an investment of 20 million rupees, Hualin Hotel and Restaurant with an investment of 15 million rupees.

Similarly, investment commitments have been made for Hotel Instern Nepal Pvt Ltd with an investment of 1 billion 697 million 771 thousand rupees in Jhapa, Ayushman Hotels Limited with an investment of 2.51 billion rupees and Budhanilkantha Heritage Limited with an investment of 2.44 billion rupees.

Similarly, in the month of August, investment commitments of 41.59 billion rupees have come for the tourism sector, the highest for 14 industries. During this period, investment commitments have been made for Jimen Hotel with an investment of 50 million rupees, Green Jackpot International Pvt. Ltd. with an investment of 20 million rupees, Manakamana Retreat Resort and Spa Pvt.

According to the department, the industries registered for the tourism sector in the same month are Grand Central Hotel Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 60 crore, Pashupati Recreation Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 17 crore, Venten Entertainment Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 20 crore, Kingswari Entertainment Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 25 crore.

Similarly, Aju Holding Pvt Ltd with an investment of 30 crores, Ratna Services at 20 crores, Haimei Hotel and Restaurant at 20 crores, Hotel Panchavati Pvt Ltd at 33 crores, Dordej Farm Resort at 55 crores, Lonni Chicken Chop Pvt Ltd at 50 crores and Bandipur Kevalkar & with an investment of 864 million rupees. It is mentioned in the data that Tourism Limited was also registered in August. In October, Pleasure Nepal Pvt Ltd was registered for 20 million rupees.
