The Nepal Distilleries got 'ISO 9001:2015' certificate

KATHMANDU, Nov 11: The Nepal Distilleries Pvt Ltd. the producer of Khukuri Rum, has received the 'ISO 9001:2015' certificate.

The company recently announced that it has received the prestigious certificate from DNV (UKAS), an independent recognized certification body in the world that measures the quality of products and processes.

This certificate is a global standard that sets the requirements for a robust quality management system.

The company has been focusing on quality and customer satisfaction since its inception.

For this, the company has been continuously improving its products and making the internal management system agile and up-to-date.

This certificate is the result of the company's commitment to the effective and efficient implementation of the quality management system, and the significant contribution made to customer satisfaction through continuous improvement in its products, services and internal process systems, the company said.

Shubhas Lamichhane, General Manager of the company said that he felt proud to receive the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certificate.

The company produces Khukuri Triple X Rum, Khukuri Spiced Rum, Khukuri White Rum and Khukuri Coronation Rum under the prestigious Khukuri brand. These products are also being exported to the world market.

Recently, the company has entered the vodka segment from rum and launched a new brand 'Nude Vodka' in the market.

According to the company, The Nepal Distilleries was established in 1959 and is the first alcohol producing company in Nepal to be established in the organizational sector.
