Pilot Vijay Lama barred from flying

KATHMANDU, Nov 09: Vijay Lama, a senior pilot of Nepal Airlines, has been barred  from flying for allowing non-crew members to enter the cockpit in the sky.

The flight was stopped after Lama gave a video interview in the sky without the permission of the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN).

An investigation has been started against Lama for allowing people other than crew members to enter the cockpit. As he broke this rule, he was dragged into the investigation of the regulatory body. His name has also been removed from the flight's roster until the investigation report comes.

Recently, it has been revealed that aviation vlogger Sam Chui interviewed pilot Vijay Lama from the cockpit in a vlog of the Dubai-Kathmandu route. The security department under Nepal Airlines Corporation informed CAAN about this.
