Snow leopard spotted in Khumbu region

KATHMANDU, Nov 08: A snow leopard has been spotted in Khumbu in the Everest region.

American photographer Kittiya Pawlowski captured the photo of the snow leopard on her camera last October 8.

She mentioned on her website that she captured a photo of a snow leopard at an altitude of 5,486 meters.

She wrote that after seeing the footprints of a snow leopard at an altitude of 5,164 meters, she followed them for a photo.

“The weather was very unpredictable but I had to climb higher to get the best view. "I found the animal I wanted to capture while following the steps seen below," she said.

She left Gorakshep at 4 am to capture the snow leopard.

'Snow leopard looks very attractive in the twilight evening or morning. Reaching the height, I wanted to capture an attractive picture and I succeeded in that,' she said.
