NATTA organized training produce skilled manpower

KATHMANDU, Nov 04:Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is conducting airline ticketing, tour product development and customer care training targeting all the seven provinces of the country with the aim of producing skilled manpower required for tourism business development and expansion.

Central Secretary of NATTA and Training Coordinator Mr. Yubika Bhandari is coordinating all the programs.
With the support of the International Labor Organization and Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a 1-month workplace-based training program for a total of 30 trainees was launched by Mr. Ramesh Thapa, President of NATTA on 2nd November in Kathmandu. After 8 days of theoretical knowledge and on-site study, the trainees will be sent to the companies operating tourism business to acquire practical skills.

Similarly, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme, training programs have been started in Kathmandu, Butwal, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Birgunj and Biratnagar under the sustainable tourism project for livelihood of Nepal Tourism Board. Opportunities will be available for 60-60 people in all these locations and a total of 240 trainees will undergo 5-day training.
