Cabinet approves to enter into an air agreement

KATHMANDU, Nov 02: The government has approved bilateral air agreements with the    
 United States of America  (USA) and Switzerland.

Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) spokesperson Jagannath Niraula informed that the last meeting of the Council of Ministers gave approval to enter into a bilateral air agreement with the USA and Switzerland.

According to him, earlier, CAAN had signed an initial air agreement between CAAN and Switzerland.

Accordingly, the meeting of the Council of Ministers gave approval for the bilateral air agreement, he said.

Airline companies will be allowed to fly to these countries once the air agreement is signed with both countries.

Currently, Nepal has agreements with 40 countries for two-way direct flights.
