Passengers stranded in Kathmandu were taken to Delhi

KATHMANDU, Nov 02: On Sunday, the Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN) canceled the Kathmandu-Delhi flight of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, and the Nepal Airlines Corporation took 150 passengers to Delhi through an afternoon flight on Saturday.

According to Archana Khadka, Spokesperson of Nepal Airlines Corporation, the passengers who were stopped due to the cancellation of Sunday's flight, were taken to Delhi by the corporation's plane at around 3 pm on Saturday.

According to him, the remaining 150 passengers out of 247 were taken to Delhi by the corporation in its own flight and in collaboration with other airlines. It is said that some passengers have already been sent to Delhi by the Corporation with the help of other airlines on Sunday.

Passengers were stranded on Sunday after the Civil Aviation Authority Nepal canceled the corporation's Kathmandu-Delhi flight. According to the Civil Aviation Authority Nepal, on Tuesday, the corporation had scheduled two flights between Kathmandu and Delhi. The Civil Aviation Authority had canceled one flight of the Nepal Airlines Corporation to Delhi, saying that it was not operating flights from the Gautam Buddha International Airport.

Passengers who reached the airport were stranded when the authority canceled the flight to Delhi on Sunday morning saying that the corporation did not follow the instructions given by it. The Kathmandu-Delhi flight at 1:45 pm on Sunday was cancelled. Out of 247 people, 100 passengers going to Japan, America, Germany and other countries were stranded through code sharing.
