Kisan Pradhan, Chairman of Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, says that the number of tourists has increased for the first time after the Covid-19 in Bandipur due to the long holiday of Tihar.

``It was difficult to see foreign tourists in Bandipur, 100 foreign tourists arrived in Bandipur on Friday alone'', Pradhan said, 'The arrival of indigenous tourists is also significant.' A running competition is being organized today in Bandipur with the participation of foreign tourists.

According to Pradhan, more than five thousand domestic tourists have come to Bandipur on Friday and Saturday. 'Due to long holidays due to Tihar and Chhath, the culture of visiting has developed among domestic tourists', he said, 'domestic tourists also came to Bandipur during Dashain holidays.'

With the onset of winter season, businessmen are optimistic that the number of tourists will increase in Bandipur. Hotelier Basant Paudel said that now the arrival of tourists will increase in Bandipur. He said that he is confident that the number of visitors to Bandipur will increase as this season is the time for foreigners to visit.

Most of the foreign tourists who come to Bandipur are from France and Britain. Chinese tourists are at a standstill in Bandipur. "Earlier, most tourists in Bandipur were Chinese, but now Chinese tourists have stopped, tourists from European countries are coming", said Paudel.

"Tourists who come to Nepal go to places like Pokhara, Sauraha and then visit Bandipur," he said.

Bandipur is reached after an 8 km uphill journey from the headquarters Damauli to 18 km via Dumre. From where one can observe picturesque snow ranges, mountains, and Takura. From Bandipur, which is full of natural beauty, you can see the snow ranges like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and so on.

Houses built in Bhaktapur style, Tundikhel, Thanimai, Tindhara, Ranivan, Ramkot, Sunakhari, Khaddevi Temple, Vindhyavasini Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Information Center etc. are the first choice of tourists coming here. There are 77 small and big hotels affiliated to the hotel association in Bandipur.
