Rescue of stranded air passengers in Karnali province

SURKHET, Oct 19: Passengers stranded at various destinations in Karnali province will be rescued due to flight cuts made by airline companies. This decision was taken by the stakeholder meeting held in Kathmandu on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN). The meeting was attended by the representatives of Summit Air, Tara Air, a company that flies planes in remote areas, and people's representatives of Karnali Province.

According to AOAN, the meeting decided to rescue all those stranded in Karnali province as soon as possible. Considering the current situation in Karnali Province, the meeting also decided to make full use of the resources available to the airline companies. It has also been decided to draw the attention of the local administration to ensure peace and security in order to operate air traffic safely. It was also decided in the meeting that the airline companies will arrange e-ticketing as soon as possible.

Airlines have focused many flights on Lukla due to the tourist season. As a result, regular flights at Karnali and Far West airports have been affected.
