ICAO organized master plan training for first time

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: The International Civil Aviation Organization has organized a training session under the aviation sector for the first time. The organization has started a five-day program in Nepal from Monday.
Juan Carlos Salazar, secretary general of the organization, said that through this training, the expansion of the global aviation network will help airline companies to become financially stronger. "Aviation is the only industry that has been playing an important role for the expansion of business and tourism," he said.

General Secretary Salazar said that this master plan training was organized to cooperate for the expansion of the aviation industry after the Covid. He informed that through this training, air traffic of different countries, aviation safety, facilities, capacity, environment pollution control etc. will be focused.

Pradeep Adhikari, Director General of Civil Aviation Authority, expressed his gratitude for organizing the organization's first master plan training in Nepal.

He informed that this training will have a positive impact on the post-Covid aviation industry and various economic sectors connected with it. He said that through this master plan training, various countries can expand according to their aviation policies.

"Aviation sector is comfortable for western countries but it is a lifeline for Nepal," he said.

According to the authority, the program which was previously organized through Zoom has been physically conducted after the control of Covid-19.

According to the authority, 26 representatives from different countries including Nepal, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka are participating in this five-day training. According to the authority, the Chinese government provided financial support for this session.
