Tourist activity increased

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: The main tourist season is also underway. To make this atmosphere more colorful, with the opening of the weather, the beautiful scenery seen around the capital Kathmandu Valley has made the time more joyful. After two weeks of continuous rain stopped and the weather gradually opened up, the snow chains visible on the hills of the valley and in the northern region have made the autumn season more attractive.
 
The first vice president of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) Binayak Shah said that with the opening of the weather, the movement of domestic and foreign tourists has increased around the valley and in major destinations. He said, "In this season, domestic tourism is very good, along with the festival, a significant number of vacationers have gone to the destination. Now the weather has also supported us, adding positive enthusiasm to tourism.”

In recent days, the weather has been clear all over the country, including Kathmandu. Due to the scorching sun, the crowds of tourists have also increased in the destinations around the valley. Pre-booking is also good. Domestic and foreign tourists have flocked to the hotel sector.

Since the weather in the valley has cleared for the last three days, businessmen have said that the tourist activity has increased in destinations such as Dhulikhel, Nagarkot, Chandragiri Hills, Jarsinghpaua, Sundarijal, Shivpuri, Chobhar.

The sacred pilgrimage sites, religious and archeological areas of the valley are also crowded. Pashupati area, Swayambhu, Changunarayan, Dakshinkali and other religious places are thronged by pilgrims. Similarly, domestic and foreign tourists have increased in the major tourist areas of Thamel, Durbar Marg, Vasantpur, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar area.

So, this season is also suitable for hiking and mountain climbing. Currently, a considerable number of tourists have left for the destination. According to the Department of Tourism, mountain climbing and trekking have become easy due to the favorable weather.

The director general of the department, Homprasad Luitel, informed that the climbing was going on normally as the weather cooperated. Manaslu climb is almost over. Climbers are still taking permission to climb other mountains.

According to the details of the department, 931 climbers from 110 climbing groups from 69 countries including Nepal have taken climbing permits. Among them, 404 climbers from 38 climbing groups have taken permission to climb Manaslu.

Due to the clear weather, the blue sky and green fields attract everyone. In addition, the charming view of the snow chain shining like a silver circle has added more excitement to the tourist season.

Now, from any place in the valley, you can easily see the panoramic view of various mountains in the northern part. As the Tihar season is about to begin, the beautiful sight of flowers blooming in different places of Haria Pahad Valley is no less attractive.

The general secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association, Mohan Lamsal, said that due to the favorable weather, the tourism sector is now busy. "Tourist traffic has increased well, although there have been some problems with the weather in the past few days, the weather has been clear and it has made it easier for tourists to travel and see the sights.

This season also brings a positive spring in the tourism sector", said Lamsal, who is also the Managing Director of Makalu Adventure Pvt Ltd.

With the opening of the weather, the attraction of air flights, especially mountain flights, has also increased. It is also a suitable season for mountain flying.

When the weather clears up and the clouds cover the mountains, the scenic view makes the tourists blush. October and November are considered good for mountain flying. "Since the weather has opened well, mountain flights have increased rapidly in the last two days", said Sudarshan Bertaula, the spokesperson of Yeti Airlines, "we are confident that this trend will increase, good bookings are coming in till Tihar", he said.

Buddha Air's information officer Dipendra Kumar Karna informed that the mountain flight is going on enthusiastically as the weather cooperates. “Mountain flying has improved as the weather has cleared. During this season, many foreigners come to visit and the snow chain is well visible, so the attraction of mountain flying increases.”
 
As the influence of Monsoon air gradually weakens in Nepal, the weather will be generally clear in the coming days, according to the weather forecast division of the Department of Water and Meteorology.

At present, there is a partial change in the hilly areas of the Far West, Karnali and Lumbini provinces, and the weather is generally clear in the rest of the province.
