404 climber took permission to climb Manaslu

KATHMANDU, Oct 15: 404 climber from 39 groups have taken permission to climb Manaslu this season.

According to the department of tourism, 404 people including 97 women and 307 men have taken permission to climb Manaslu.

This number for this season is more than other mountain climbs.

According to the statistics released by the department, 908 people from 68 countries have received climbing permits so far. There are 203 women and 698 men.

They have taken a climbing permit to climb a total of 34 mountains. After Manaslu, Himlung (7,126 m) is the choice of most climbers. One hundred and 44 people from 14 climbing groups have taken permission to climb the mountain.

Similarly, 34 climbers from four climbing groups have taken permission to climb Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters), and one group has taken permission to climb Nuptse (7,855). Along with this, climbers continue to obtain permits for 34 different mountains.

According to the department, 70 million 10 million 31 thousand 647 royalties have been collected from mountain climbing in this season.
