Guide Sherpa found dead

 

SOLUKHUMBU, Oct 11: A tourist guide from Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-1 Kharikhola in Solukhumbu has been found dead in the Larkepass area of Sherpa Gorkha.

The police said that the 38-year-old Sherpa, who had been missing for five days, was found on Tuesday morning in Gorkha's Chumanubri village palik-1 Larkepass while going trekking.

Sherpa's body was rescued from Heli Everest today. It is said that the dead body has been kept at Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for postmortem. On October 6, Sherpa, who had gone on a trek with two French nationals through Asian Himalayan Treks Pvt.

Similarly, Bal Kumar Karki, a 27-year-old guide from Thulung Dudhkosi Rural Municipality-2 Kangal, Solukhumbu, has gone missing after falling at the base camp of Dhaulagiri Himal. Karki, who went on a trek from full seasonal mountain treks, went missing last Thursday after falling into the kharpas of the base camp. According to the company, the condition of Karki, who went hiking in the Dhaulagiri area with foreign tourists, is still unknown.
