EU's response: Great achievements in safety

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has responded that there has been a significant improvement in Nepal's air safety after the supervision done by the European Union (EU) representative.

According to Pradeep Adhikari, director general of  CAAN, in the initial report given by the EU, great achievements have been achieved in a period of 10 years. The representatives of the EU, together with the authority, also conducted an on-site study of Tara Air and Summit Air.

The EU team has given me a preliminary report, the Director General said, I will make it public after the finals. The EU team is fully satisfied with Nepal's achievements and said that it will be removed from the blacklist by next May.

He says that the EU has never given any suggestion to make the CAAN two and that it only asked to improve the air safety, so far it has been stopped for 10 years.
